What The Parents Say
My son went through from the baby room to preschool and when I had my daughter I couldn’t imagine having anyone else care for her. The care and attention the staff give my children has been second to none. The staff are always very friendly and take the time to know the kids and know their personalities. It means that the care they deliver is responsive to what the kids might need at that time.
Rebecca
My daughter began nursery just after her first birthday, I have watched her become a confident and independent little girl in such a short space of time. I know she enjoys her days at nursery as they are filled with lots of activities to keep her amused. I also love that when she get her breakfast and lunch, I know she is getting a well-balanced meal with plenty of choice which encourages her to try new things. Thanks to all the Bright Starts girls, you do a great job and nothing is too much trouble. Putting your children into children can be a daunting experience but Brights Starts made it a very easy transition and a positive experience.
Kelly
My son has attended the nursery since he was 7 months old, he is now 17 months. Like all mums I was apprehensive about leaving him but he has come on leaps and bounds. He is a sociable friendly little boy who loves going into nursery. It is lovely to see him interacting with the other children and doing activities that he would not do at home. My son has built up great relationships with the staff members. The staff are all so friendly and helpful and I really like that you get an update every night via email of how he got on during the day and what he did. My son has food intolerances and I was concerned about how the nursery would deal with it. They have been fabulous and supply my son with alternatives food and I am confident that he only gets the food and milk he should. I can’t recommend the nursery highly enough.
Julie
Bright starts has been an excellent nursery for our son to develop and grow in confidence. It’s helped him become far more independent and although it took him a while to settle, thanks to the supportive nurturing staff he now loves his sessions
Lisa
Caitlin has been at Bright Starts for nearly 2 years. When she started, the staff worked closely with us to ensure that she settled in happily and quickly. Since then, her development has come on leaps and bounds – she surprises us every day with what she has learnt at nursery!

Our Playrooms
Our playrooms are organised into 4 main rooms, taking into account the age and stage of the children. This includes our 6 weeks to 15/18 months room, our 15/18 months to 2 1/2 years room, our 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 and our 3 1/2 to 5 years room. This allows us to meet the individual needs of your child and maintain the adult to child ratio set by the Care Standards. All age groups have an appointed Senior Practitioner, a team of practitioners and support practitioners. Your child will have their own key worker allocated who will oversee their care and development.
Tiny Tots Room
The ratio within our playroom is 1 staff member for every 3 children in attendance.
Tweenies room
We have a mixed ratio within our playroom of 1 staff member for every 3 children and 1 staff member for every 5 children in attendance.
Your Children
We endeavour to ensure that your child is at the forefront of everything that we do! We aim to provide your child with a varied range of experiences to build on their knowledge and understanding of the world around them. Your child will have the opportunity to express their views and opinions and be involved in making decisions about their learning. An appointed key worker will work closely with your child as well as with you the parent to ensure the best possible outcomes are achieved, and their learning and progress is tracked on our online Famly App, giving you the freedom to keep up to date with this on a regular basis.
Safety
We take the safety of the children in our care very seriously, starting with our secure door entry system that we have at both of our designated entrances.
Happiness
Ensuring that your child is happy and secure at nursery is paramount. To help us achieve this we provide the right level of transition between home and nursery, from room to room and from nursery to school. We strive to meet your child’s individual needs in a positive and nurturing manner, respecting their wants and desires. Staff are enthusiastic and motivated and provide a happy and relaxed atmosphere for your child to flourish in.
Education
Taking into account Local and National guidelines, staff focus on the individual education needs of your child, developing and building on the skills to prepare them for the next chapter of their learning journey. All learning is child-led which allows your child to learn and develop at a pace that takes into account their personal interests and experiences. Staff ensures that learning is stimulating and fun, encouraging your child to engage fully
Your children’s education and welfare are our main priorities
