I started my career in Early Learning and Childcare at the age of 18 years old. I worked within the voluntary sector with the YMCA in Dumfries, and I discovered my passion for working with young children and their wider families. When I was 19 years old, I worked as a child rep with Thomas Cook in Tunisia and worked closely with children from all over the world who were multilingual, organising learning opportunities for them on a daily basis.

I started a course shortly after starting with a company called Early Learning and Childcare. Upon completion, I was assigned the role Room leader of the baby room shortly after becoming fully qualified. I was passionate about attachment theory and secure attachments from birth. I worked within that establishment for over 5 years before I was assigned a new role within a nature nursery.
In 2014, I wanted to enhance my learning opportunities, so I began my BA (hon) Working with children and families in Carlisle, graduating in 2016.

Upon completion of my degree, I started working in the private sector for 10 years,
In September 2019, I began a new journey to start my med childhood practice (master’s in education) Graduating in June 2021 from the University of Glasgow. I started a new role at Bright Starts Glasgow in December 2023 where I can apply the necessary skills and expertise to support the nursery in a successful way.

My hobbies are travelling, being creative, being surrounded by my family, cooking and caring for my 2 cats, Marble, and Socks.
